🦷 Enamel Hypoplasia

Enamel hypoplasia হলো দাঁতের এনামেলের (সবচেয়ে বাইরের শক্ত স্তর) পরিমাণগত ত্রুটি (quantitative defect) — অর্থাৎ এনামেল কম তৈরি হয় বা কিছু অংশে একদমই তৈরি হয় না।

এটা হয় যখন ameloblast কোষ এনামেল গঠন করার সময় কোনো সমস্যা হয়।

🔎 কারণ (Causes)

🧒 Local causes (একটি/কয়েকটি দাঁতে)

Trauma (দুধ দাঁতে আঘাত → স্থায়ী দাঁতে প্রভাব)

Infection

Periapical inflammation (Turner’s tooth)

🌍 Systemic causes (অনেক দাঁতে)

Malnutrition (Vitamin A, C, D deficiency)

Calcium deficiency

Low birth weight / Prematurity

High fever during childhood

Congenital diseases

Genetic cause → Amelogenesis imperfecta

👀 ক্লিনিক্যাল বৈশিষ্ট্য (Clinical Features)

Enamel পাতলা বা অনুপস্থিত

Pits / grooves / linear defects

Rough surface

Yellowish appearance (কারণ dentin দেখা যায়)

সহজে caries হয়

Sensitivity থাকতে পারে

🛠️ চিকিৎসা (Treatment)

ক্ষতির পরিমাণ অনুযায়ী:

Mild → Composite restoration

Moderate → Veneer

Severe → Crown

Sensitivity হলে → Desensitizing agent
